WisDOT Open House: Proposed changes to Bluemound Road, Thurs. Nov. 6, 7-9pm

From District 7 Aldermen Lisa Mellone and Renee' Lowerr:

Thursday, November 6th, 7-9 pm, OPEN HOUSE

Brookfield City Hall, Council Chambers

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is proposing to eliminate all left turns out of the subdivision
(general area: to the east of Moorland, west of Sunnyslope, south of Bluemound) on to Bluemound and possibly placing a cul-de-sac at Leanore, Lynnwood, Elmbridge, and N. Beaumont Roads.

In order to drive west on Bluemond you would need to drive north on Sunnyslope Road to make a left at the stop light-or-head east on Bluemound until you can make a U-Turn. DOT proposes these changes are for safety.

More info and maps can be found at this link.

Construction is scheduled for 2011.

Public input must be provided now during the planning stage.

Bluemound Road falls under WisDOT control, NOT the City of Brookfield.

Your City of Brookfield, District 7 Alderpersons Lisa Mellone (780-0805) and Renee' Lowerr (853-9657) have scheduled this meeting for your benefit and opportunity to voice any concerns, provide feedback, and ask questions of the DOT.
