Keith Robinson presents 2 talks: Countering Evolution "Proofs" in Textbooks & Aliens: An Evolutioary Idea - March 24, 2015

Keith Robinson
Author, teacher and creation science speaker Keith Robinson will present two Power Point talks on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 6:45pm at Waukesha First Assembly, 1314 South Grand Avenue, Waukesha, Wisconsin. The event is free and open to the public.

Keith's starts off the evening with, Countering Common Evolutionary "Proofs" in Biology Textbooks
Everyone who has sat through a public school biology class knows that Evolution is a proven fact, right? After all, textbook publishers and teachers wouldn't present something that wasn't true, would they?

In this presentation, Keith A. Robinson, who is also a public school teacher, analyzes ten of the top "proofs" for Evolution and demonstrates how in each case, the evidence is either misinterpreted, misleading, or downright false. Instead of proving evolution, the evidence actually points to a Creator. What are the 10 major proofs for evolution? You may be surprised to note how weak those "proofs" really are!

After a short break, Keith, sci fi author of the Origins Trilogy and Logic's End, Pyramid of the Ancients and Escaping the Cataclysm, returns with, Aliens: An Evolutionary Idea
Are we alone in the universe? Isn't the universe so huge that life must exist on other planets or at least on one other planet? Is it possible that other intelligent beings and civilizations exist? The answer to these questions and many others are largely dependent upon your worldview, particularly whether or not you believe in evolution. In this session, Mr. Robinson will discuss these issues and their theological implications. In addition, Keith will also present scientific research that demonstrates some of the flaws in Charles Darwin's famous Origins "theory".

Keith A. Robinson is an author and public speaker on the issue of Creation and Evolution. His novels weave real arguments supporting the Christian faith into action-packed, science-fiction adventures. His novels include, Logic's End, Pyramid of the Ancients and Escaping the Cataclysm. Keith has a master's degree from Northern Illinois University, is a board member of the Creation Science Society of Milwaukee, a public school educator and freelance musician. Keith has dedicated his life to teaching others about the evidence for creation and against evolution. He began his research into the Creation/Evolution debate back in 1998 when he taught the subject in an adult class at his church. Since then, the Origin of Life debate has been his passion and his calling. He has presented his research findings to school district administrators, public school teachers, private school students, university student groups and church members.

Mr. Robinson resides in Kenosha, Wisconsin, with his wife Stephanie and their five children.

I had the privilege of hearing Keith several years ago; he is an engaging speaker you don't want to miss. This event is sponsored by the Creation Science Society of Milwaukee, Inc. Creation Science books, DVDs and materials will be available.

Upcoming Events:
Sunday, April 12, 2015, Answers in Genesis' Ken Ham will present two talks at Calvary Baptist Church on 792 Milford Street in Watertown, WI   Map

10 AM - Is Genesis Relevant in 2015?
Ken Ham reveals that accepting the Bible's very first book as literal history is absolutely vital. Genesis is the foundation for all Christian doctrine and even the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In this hard-hitting presentation, Ken Ham reveals that accepting the Bible's very first book as literal history is absolutely vital. Genesis is the foundation for all Christian doctrine and even the gospel of Jesus Christ.

5 PM - 'The 7 C's of History' is a catchy phrase that helps people remember the big events that have affected (or will affect) the universe: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, Consummation.

Tuesday, April 14, 2015, local business man Jerry Frye presents Exalting evolution: Their foolish hearts were darkened at 7 PM at Brookside Baptist Church, 4470 N. Pilgrim Road Brookfield, WI. Jerry puts Power Point through its paces in this fascinating talk.

Carl Kerby to speak on Becoming Bold! and Human Evolution - What Does Evidence Show? Oct. 15, 2013

Carl Kerby is an engaging speaker, who has a way of connecting with young people, adults, church groups, schools — almost everybody. He is a much sought-after speaker both in the United States and abroad, and he is the Creation Science Society of Milwaukee's guest speaker  this month.

In his first talk entitled “Becoming Bold! Know it! Live it! Share it!” Carl will examine the reasons 50 to 88 percent of young people raised in Bible-believing churches walk away from the church as adults. He will look at the causes of this huge exodus and then show that by starting with the Bible, solutions can be offered to this alarming problem in the church. Just teaching Bible stories to our children isn’t working; young people in our churches need to know how to stand uncompromisingly on the authority and accuracy of the Bible so they can answer the skeptical questions of the age and live lives pleasing to the Lord.

He will also present “Human Evolution: From Ida to Us, What Does the Evidence Show?” We are inundated with the message that man evolved over millions of years. Our public school systems, television programs, movies and secular museums all push this message on us constantly and convincingly. But, what does the evidence really show? Using information from the website “Revealing the Link,” Carl will debunk the myths surrounding the “missing links” (including the world famous Lucy) and why we didn’t evolve from apes. Once we look beyond the veneer to what the actual evidence really shows, you may be surprised.

Carl Kerby’s passion is to proclaim the authority and accuracy of the Bible and to engage the minds and hearts of believers and unbelievers in today’s culture so that they may experience the realities of the Word of God.  He was a founding Board Member of Answers in Genesis for 10 years and served there for over 15 years before becoming President and Founder of Reasons for Hope (rforh). He created rforh to offset the hopelessness that is so prevalent in our time and culture.

We can and need to have answers to these issues today. Both of Carl’s presentations will give faith affirming information to those seeking and to those needing encouragement.

The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Grace Bible Church, 2643 South 117 Street (north of Cleveland Ave., south of Lincoln Ave.), West Allis, WI.  The event is free and open to the public; a free-will offering will be received.

Mr. Kerby will also be guesting on the live radio program, Crosstalk, on WVCY, Monday, October 14, 2013, 2:00 - 2:55pm. Tune in 107.7 FM to listen or catch it online.

Hoping, praying for a Chick-fil-A kind of election day

In 2010, JT Harris asked the crowd of about 150 people waiting to see US Senate candidate Ron Johnson at the Waukesha County Republican Headquarters, How many of you are asking God for one more chance to turn this around? My hand shot up as did most in the room.

At the time, we had no idea how that 2010 midterm election would change the course of our state and nation. Nor did we have any idea how much worse things would get in the 2 years that followed.

Who could have envisioned our national debt hitting $16 trillion? Or unemployment never falling below where we started in 2009? Who could have predicted President Obama disregarding the 1st Amendment with his attack on Catholic hospitals? Or the Dream Act immigration reform by fiat? And the list goes on and on. The election hasn't even concluded and the President is killing off the coal industry through the EPA. A ban on fracking for oil won't be far behind. No legislation, just regulation.

So as the polls report Romney is ahead--no, it's Obama, I'm praying it will be a Chick-fil-A kind of election day.

Remember back in August, how people stood in lines that wrapped around the block, just to buy a sandwich to show support for Chick-fil-A? The fast food company's CEO had made a statement against gay marriage and was suffering some backlash for it. So Mike Huckabee cooked up a "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day" to affirm a business that operates on Christian principles, by eating at the restaurant. And appreciate they did! Some customers that day were gay but joined in because they believed in free speech. The public had finally had enough, and they voted with their pocketbook to show support, with record breaking sales and crowds.

Well, I'm hoping for much the same in voter turnout for Romney and other conservative candidates today. I'm praying for an election day where voters, in record numbers, go to the polls and vote for the founding values our country was built upon.

People are praying about this election, and its not just superficial. There is a sense of urgency here. Two friends of mine each emailed me how they were praying about the election. (Neither know each other and we are of different faiths.) One wrote, "I'm praying a couple of times a day (yes, me!) that America find a clear path to Her future Tuesday." Another emailed, "I voted early for him - now I've got everything crossed & praying daily (hourly!). Here's hoping!"

By 10 PM Tuesday, we should have some idea which way the election will go. It has been a long 4 years.

Dr. Greg Huffman: "Why is our country so divided" outline

The following are Dr. Greg Huffman's notes from his November 2nd and 5th
Word for Life radio show - WVCY 107.7 FM, 6:15am: PART 1 and PART 2

WHY ARE WE SO DIVIDED AS A COUNTRY?
(Word for Life Radio—Friday and Monday, Nov. 2,5)
·        Divided philosophically and therefore, politically
·        The foundations of a person’s belief system must be the same for similar ideas and goals to be supported.
o       The foundation for a non-believer?  Anything but the Bible
o       The foundation for a Christian?  The Bible
·        Our problem is:  America no longer believes in BIBLICAL MORALITY, only the desired results of it.
o       It’s OK to pray when our country is under terrorist attack or facing natural disasters of extreme proportions.
o       But the pressure is immense to leave the Bible out of all conversations
·        The election this year is a test:  “A Worldview Test”
o       We will reveal our worldview by our vote
o       The two candidates and their two major parties represent two very different worldviews.
o       Fifty years ago there wasn’t a whole lot of difference between the platforms of the two major parties.
§         But that’s no longer true
§         There’s a major difference that reveal stark differences in what is considered real and desirable.
·        These are morally and ethically world apart
·        The issues involved relate to totally differing views of human life and the institution of marriage.
§         2012 Democratic Party Platform = the first major political party to call for the legalization of same-sex marriage.
·        This is simply a follow up of the President’s earlier announcement that he has “evolved” in his position on the issue and had now reached a conclusion that he would support the legal right of same-sex couples to marry.
§         The Republican Party Platform stated:  We affirm our support for a constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman.
o       On the Issue of Abortion
§         The Republican Party states:  “We assert the sanctity of human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed.”
§         The Democratic Party platform states:  The Democratic Party strongly and unequivocally supports Roe v. Wade and a woman’s right to make decisions regarding her pregnancy, including a safe and legal abortion, regardless of ability to pay.
o       These two issues demonstrate the vast differences of two world views.
o       But these two views are simply consequences of differing foundations – Bible, or public opinion?
o       Other biblical issues at stake:  See Summary Sheet
o       But, bear in mind, there is a definite battle going on to silence the Biblical values.
§         Illustration:  “The Righteous Right: hypocrisy, not ‘moral values.’”
§         Some Christians have stated that they are not planning on voting because the choice is between two men with whom they do not agree theologically.
§         But consider this:  We are electing a President, not a Pastor.  And one of them will come out the winner and we will live under his leadership for four years.
§         If you suddenly have great pain in your back and front, like I did one night, you begin to search for answers.
·        Ruth read the Medical Book
·        “Honey, do you have pain in your lower back as well as your front?”  Yes, I said.
·        Need to get to the hospital – symptoms of appendicitis
·        Called the surgeon and he met us there.
·        He confirmed it was appendicitis and surgery was needed immediately.
·        Now, I did not ask him at that point if he were a committed Christian.
·        He wasn’t going to be counseling me, he was going to be cutting me, and all I cared about was, could he do a good job in surgery?
·        In the same vein, we are not electing a Pastor, we are electing a President.  So, who can do the best job leading our country with all the conflicting ethical and biblical issues at stake?

·        WHAT CAUSES GOD TO GIVE UP ON A NATION?
o       Romans 1:24-25 = Fornication and Adultery
§         1:26-28 = Homosexuality
·        Sodomy is not an alternate lifestyle when the Lord calls it an abomination to Him.
·        We should be attempting to reach homosexuals with the gospel and then discipling them in the area of a biblical moral viewpoint and lifestyle.
§         II Kings 24:1-4 = Shedding Innocent Blood (Ps. 106:38)
·        The Pro-choice movement started in the Garden of Eden.
·        And men have been demanding to have their own choices in opposition to God ever since.
·        This indeed is a moral conflict between anti-God philosophies and worldviews and pro-God philosophies and worldviews.
·        Government has been ordained by God to keep order in society
o       Romans 13:1-7
o       Protect good people and punish evil people
§         That being true, there has to be an understanding of the definition of “good.” = right and wrong = moral law
§         That’s why it’s so devastating when our government declares homosexuality, same-sex marriages, and abortion as good and acceptable.
§         It has become a moral issue because it’s a biblical issue.
§         The “economy” is not the most important issue in this election in my opinion.  The platform for this election is now “morality.”
o       “God bless America” signs were all over our country after 9/11
§         But we all know God can no more bless America than he could bless Sodom and Gomorrah.
§         Prayer for our leaders must be backed up by prayer in our homes and repentance in our lives.
o       We need more statesmen who will proclaim what they believe and where they stand and not worry about what the opinion polls may say about them.
o       Illustration:  President Abraham Lincoln
o       The 2012 Election is about Principles, not Prosperity
§         Can you support political leaders who have abandoned biblical moral principles and taken an anti-God stand?
§         Can you vote for someone simply because you like the personality of the candidate?
o       When we stand before the Lord one day, I firmly believe we will give an account of our responses when our country was quickly losing its moral foundations and the churches were losing their burden for lost souls.
o       If you look around and are appalled with what you see, will it affect anything in YOUR LIFE?
o       Illustration:  THE TITANIC
o       So, when you vote in a few weeks, you’ll be taking a test:  A World View Test.
§         They will try to tell you it’s all about the economy
§         But really, it’s all about your theology.
·        God or Anti-God?
·        Biblical Truth or Humanistic Lies?
§         Pray for the courage to speak up like Daniel
§         Stand Alone like Noah
§         Weep over our nation like Jeremiah
§         And Cry Aloud like the Lord Jesus:  “When you discover the truth, the truth will set you free.”

Hear some Good News! Missions Week: Oct. 24 - 28, 2012

In a world that is constantly bombarded with bad news, it's good to take a break from that and hear something positive for a change. This week at Brookside, you have the opportunity to be encouraged and learn about what is going on around the globe during our A Heart for the Harvest missions conference.

The conference features 5 missionaries, working on 4 continents: North America (Mexico), Europe, Africa and Australia. (I would love to tell you more, but in a world that persecutes Christians for sharing the gospel, I can only urge you to come hear it for yourself.)

This year's mission theme song is titled For the Sake of His Name, by Anderson and Habegger.  It opens with the command: Go to the world...to every nation. The 2nd and 3rd stanza sum up the Good News of the gospel that is for all of us:
Love the unloved for the sake of His name;
Like Christ, befriend those whose heads hang in shame.
Jesus did not condemn, But was condemned for them.
Trust gospel pow'r, for we once were the same.

Rescue the lost for the sake of His name;
As Christ commands, snatch them out of the flame.
Tell that when Jesus died, God's wrath was satisfied.
Urge them to flee to the Lamb Who was slain.

The conference begins on Wednesday night at 7pm with a missionary from Africa sharing his work there with orphans of Aids victims and also their training of nationals as missionaries. Thursday and Friday 7pm services showcase missionaries from Germany, Mexico, and another area of Africa.

Sunday will be missions focused too: Mexico - 8:30am and 10:45am services, 9:45am. Sunday School time will be shared by the 2 missionaries from Africa. The 6pm evening service will focus on Australia and South Africa.

Children (K - 4th grade) will have their own special program with a different missionary, during each worship time during the conference.

So come and see what is going on in other parts of the world and plan on being encouraged. Brookside Baptist Church is located at 4470 N. Pilgrim Road in Brookfield, WI. (North of Capitol Drive, south of Lisbon Road)

Max Lucado's 40 Days of Prayer For USA starts today

What can Christians do for our nation? Pray!

Many of us do pray daily for our country and leaders, as directed in 1 Timothy 2:1-3:
"The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.  Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live.” The Message translation

But if you haven't been in the habit of praying for our leaders and this election, Minister and author Max Lucado is urging those of us who believe in the God of the Bible to join him in 40 Days of Prayer For the USA, starting today until the election on November 6th. He also offers a pledge page if you would like to join with other like-minded people. (Only first name and last initial is made public).

Prayer points he includes:
Dear Heavenly Father,
You have given us this promise: ”...if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
So, we pray to you. We turn from evil and look to you, our God. Please:
Unite us
Strengthen us
Appoint and anoint our next president
In the name of Christ we pray,
Amen

Some might be inclined not to pray or not even vote in this election, since the nominees don't share their faith. But keep in mind that when Timothy penned his exhortation to pray "for rulers and their governments to rule well", those rulers were Romans (pagans). We are to pray for those in authority over us. And as one of my pastors urged, we can and should vote for principle and character.

Max Lucado concludes his info page with this: "Like you, I am a concerned citizen. Like you, I believe in God’s power to heal our nation. But we must pray. 'You people who remind the Lord of your needs in prayer must never be quiet.' (Isa. 62:6)."

"Only God can unite us. Let's ask Him to do just that."
